An award-winning producer/director/writer in radio, television and theatrical films, she has worked for such outlets as ABC TV Network News, Documentary Division, NYC, where she started her career as Director of Network News Research eventually becoming a Producer/Director/Writer. She has also served as a News Producer for KPIX-TV, San Francisco, CA; Manager of Program Business Affairs for PBS, Alexandria, VA; Executive Producer of non-music video programming at BET, Washington, DC; has freelanced as a DGA Unit Production Manager for various theatrical films, as well as for WETA-TV, KRON-TV, Hewlett Packard Company, Levi Strauss, National Geographic Society, Group W Cable, the Disney Cable Channel, and EVT Educational Productions.
Ann’s administrative experience includes consulting and project management for the Miami Science Museum, NASA, FEMA, and the US departments of: Education, Agriculture and Health and Human Services. Prior to joining The Harwood Institute, Ann served as the executive director of Healthy DC Foundation, Inc. in Washington, DC; as Assistant Director of Grants Development and Administration for the DC Health and Hospitals Public Benefits Corporation, and as Senior Project Manager for the PATA Group, Washington, DC.
A graduate of Simmons College, Boston, MA, Ann completed more than 60 hours toward a doctorate in Public Administration with concentrations in Health Care Administration and Organizational Theory at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Administration, New York University. In addition, she holds a postgraduate certificate in Journalism as a John S. Knight Fellow from Stanford University, Stanford, CA and a Certificate in Directing from the DWW Program of the American Film Institute, Los Angeles, CA.
In her spare time, Ann also volunteers with several athletic and academic enrichment programs focusing on youth; serves on the board of directors of two civic organizations; and is an avid golfer and field hockey enthusiast.

Prior to joining The Harwood Institute, Aaron worked as a research
associate for Belden Russonello & Stewart, a national communications and research firm. He has also worked on campaigns in every Continental time zone, serving as Assistant to the Campaign Manager for the 2002 Paul Wellstone campaign and the Iowa Director of Special Projects for Dean for America.
Aaron graduated from Oberlin College in 2001 with a B.A. in Politics. He lives in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington and is an avid ultimate player.
Janice West Wormack
An active member of her religious community, Ms. Wormack serves on a variety of boards, and also organizes community projects in Washington DC. Her lifetime commitment to equality and justice is reflected in her volunteer work on behalf of persons living with HIV-AIDS, minority and women owned businesses, and educational scholarships for deserving students.

Vanessa Banti
At Skidmore Vanessa was the co-president of the college’s chapter of Students for Barack Obama, treasurer of the French Connection for three years and a staff writer for the Skidnews, Skidmore’s weekly newspaper. Through her college years Vanessa volunteered with the ACLU and Amnesty International.
Vanessa is passionate about literature, foreign languages, writing, and especially politics. She is also an avid hiker and nature photographer.
Nick Dreher
Nick's previous experience includes working for American University's International Development Program for the past two years, and last summer he interned with the Democratic Party in Montgomery County, PA. Currently, he also volunteers with the Somali American Community Association in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Originally from the Philadelphia suburbs, Nick is a soccer fan and possesses an eclectic taste in music.
Jordan Hardy
Jordan Hardy is an Intern at The Harwood Institute. Starting her second year at The Art Institute of Washington in Arlington, Virginia, she is majoring in Web Design and Interactive Media. Previously, she also attended Towson University for two years majoring in Digital Art and Design.
At Towson University she served on the Black Student Union Executive Board as the co-chairperson for Public Relations, designing all of the flyers for the organization’s events, as well as their t-shirt and logo. While attending Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, in Bethesda, Maryland, Jordan was the co-layout editor for the award winning literary magazine, Chips for two years. This was the beginning of her interest in graphic design.
She is committed to using her web and graphic design skills to assist organizations committed to making positive social change.
