Emnet Sisay
Events and Network Engagement Manager
Emnet Sisay is a public engagement and program management professional with a passion for community building and empowerment. Prior to joining the Harwood Institute, under the U.S Department of State she served the U.S Mission to the African Union and the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa as Public Diplomacy practitioner and managed the U.S. Government Exchange Programs including the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) program. In this position Emnet effectively developed and implemented strategic partnerships with national and continental organizations and managed mission-driven projects that empower youth, women, and disadvantaged communities. She graduated from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia with a MA Degree in Documentary Linguistics and Culture and a BA Degree in Journalism and Communication.
Emnet joined the Harwood Institute in August 2022 to be part of an organization that serves diverse communities. In her role as Engagement Manager, she manages the President's speaking engagements by cultivating and maintaining meaningful relationships with partners across the country, coordinates the Institute's events, supports the promotion of the Harwood School offerings and manages the Institute and the President's busy calendars.
Emnet enjoys traveling, documentary films and live music as hobbies.
