Harrison Stoneking
Studio Intern
Harrison Stoneking is a senior at The Ohio State University. He is currently pursuing a BA in Political Science, along with minors in history, sociology, and media and society. He has a passion for learning about society and how culture, history, media, and other factors interact with the law and societal development. He previously interned with a local government’s labor relations department, which provided an inside perspective on the work unions perform and the relationships they must build. This experience inspired a passion for labor movements and motivated him to work towards becoming a labor lawyer. As such, he chose to intern with the Harwood Institute as its community building work can be translated to working with and among labor unions.
As the Studio on Community Intern, he works primarily to support the team in the pursuit of its goals. This work includes researching community members, compiling databases, transcribing speeches, processing assorted Institute works for online content, and interviewing important community figures. In this role, he is seeking to develop his professional skills to utilize for his future career path, while also learning about the complex world of nonprofit work.
In his free time, he likes to play with his dogs, explore new places, and spend time with treasured friends.
