Jack Ouligian

Jack returns to the Harwood Institute from Penn State University, where he majors in English and Philosophy, and will be finishing a five-year BA/MA degree in Creative Writing in 2021. At Penn State, he works as a tutor at the Writing Center and will be the poetry editor for the spring edition of Kalliope, Penn State’s literary magazine. In his previous time at the Institute, working as a Nevins Fellow in Summer 2017, Jack researched material for Rich’s upcoming book, Stepping Forward, and wrote a narrative on the Youngstown / Mahoning County Public Library subsequently published in Public Library Quarterly. In Summer 2019, his major responsibilities will be researching and writing narratives on various communities that have implemented Harwood practices, though he will also write blogs, research topics or events, and perform miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Jack is from Lower Merion, Pennsylvania, and likes to read, write, and to hike through nature.
