Tristan Wood

Director of Network engagement and marketing

Tristan Wood is a marketing and communications professional with extensive experience within the nonprofit arena. Following her graduation from the University of Maryland, she spent the first chapter of her career as a marketing and membership specialist for nonprofit professional societies and trade organizations, honing her ability to develop strategy and forge strong relationships and partnerships. Most recently, she worked with the American Urogynecologic Society, where in addition to driving member engagement, she oversaw the organization’s patient education efforts, providing patients and caregivers with critical information about their conditions and treatment options and connecting them to healthcare providers. 

Tristan’s desire for a professional role that would align with her core values of compassion and community led her to The Harwood Institute. In her position as Network Engagement and Marketing Director, she is responsible for the development and implementation of the network engagement strategy; leads the Institute’s marketing and communications efforts; and seeks to build lasting and meaningful relationships with public innovators within the Institute’s growing network. 

Outside of work, Tristan enjoys reading, hiking, and returning to her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA as often as she is able.
