Meeting with Leaders from Olmsted County Minnesota

This morning, Rich Harwood met with leaders from Olmsted County and Rochester Minnesota in advance of his keynote address at the United Way of Olmsted County's 2010 Celebration of Caring and Giving. With its strong United Way, history of involved corporate leadership (both the Mayo Clinic and IBM are based here) and its tradition of engagement, Rochester has a great deal of capacity and has long been a vibrant community. But, leaders here echoed the concerns we have heard across the country.  They asked - how do we sustain our efforts? how do we create change and not just more conversations? how can we see and hear people beyond those we already know?
