Amaya Anzola
Studio intern
Amaya is a senior at Georgetown University majoring in Government and Psychology, with a concentration in Political Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Originally from Houston, Texas, she has spent most of her life living abroad, splitting time between Venezuela, the UK, and South Korea. These experiences, intersecting with her identity as a first-generation American, have made her interested in what defines a community, how people come together, and the language and tools necessary for groups to form, and she is excited to be able to continue examining these questions through her time at the Harwood Institute. Amaya’s previous professional experiences include work in Corporate Social Responsibility, Compliance and Risk, as well as nonprofit work in the Immigration sphere. In her free time, you will find Amaya giving tours of Georgetown and trying new foods in DC.
